In this the love of God was made manifest among us, that God sent his only Son into the world, so that we might live through him. In this is love, not that we have loved God but that he loved us and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins.

하나님의 사랑이 우리에게 이렇게 나타났습니다. 곧 하나님께서 자기 독생자를 우리에게 보내 주셔서 그분으로 말미암아 우리가 생명을 얻게 하신 것입니다. 사랑은 여기에 있습니다. 곧 우리가 하나님을 사랑한 것이 아니라 하나님께서 우리를 사랑하셔서 우리 죄를 위해 그분의 아들을 화목제물로 보내 주셨습니다.

In understanding the profound depth of God’s love, we find assurance and grace that transcends our own efforts. This love, demonstrated through the gift of His Son, encourages us to live in the light of such a sacrifice, reflecting on the persistent presence of divine love in our lives.
하나님의 사랑의 깊이를 이해하면서 우리는 우리의 노력 너머로 확장되는 확신과 은혜를 발견합니다. 그의 아들을 주신 이 사랑은 우리로 하여금 그러한 희생의 빛 안에서 살도록 격려하며, 우리 삶 속에 끊임없이 존재하는 신성한 사랑을 반영하게 합니다.
